This is a rubber dog ball that presses flat into a disc and springs back into a ball. It comes plain, or with three or six LEDs inside.
Throw it as a disc and it lands as a ball. He does not know why this is interesting and neither do we, but he brings it back.
Disc to ball
Press it flat and it holds the disc shape for a moment, long enough to throw. It pops back on its own in the air or on landing.
With or without lights
The plain versions are thicker rubber with more bounce. The three-light and six-light versions glow when pressed, which is the difference between finding it at dusk and not.
One more option
There is also a single high-bounce tennis-style ball, for dogs who consider the above unnecessary.
Safety
It is a fetch toy, not a chew toy. Take it away when the game is over, and replace it if the rubber splits.
